On June 15, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh chaired a meeting with THD Vietnam Project Development Joint Stock Company and its partners on the agricultural product processing and production project focusing on developing the circular economy (AGINE) and the Project of Agricultural and Aquatic Products Production and Processing Zones focusing on developing circular economy (GREENDEVI). Co-chairing the meeting was also Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dong Van Thanh and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Truong Canh Tuyen and the departments, branches and localities related to the project.

Agricultural product processing and production zone project focused on developing circular economy (AGINE) invested by THD Vietnam Project Development Joint Stock Company, the location is located in Nhon Nghia A commune, Chau Thanh A district. , with a total investment of nearly 21,700 billion VND. The project of agricultural and fishery production and processing zone focusing on developing circular economy (GREENDEVI) is jointly run by THD Vietnam Project Development Joint Stock Company and THD Agricultural Mechanized Construction Joint Stock Company. Vietnam is the investor, in Tan Phuoc Hung commune, Phung Hiep district, with a total investment of more than 18 trillion VND. These are two closed, circulating cultivation – husbandry – processing complexes, the main products are organic food, microbiological fertilizers, high quality food, livestock products and renewable energy, the output of this component, is the input of another component, so there is no solid waste, wastewater is treated to ensure environmental sanitation; The total revenue from these two project complexes is estimated at nearly 24 trillion VND/year, over 1 trillion VND/year in the state budget, creating jobs for about 3 thousand workers, with an income of about 180 million VND/year.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh said that these are two large-scale projects not only of Hau Giang, but also of the region and the whole country, in line with the current status of the province’s agricultural land use planning Hau Giang. The scale of the project is completely consistent with the new orientation and policy of the Central Government on the development of ecological agriculture, agricultural economy and circular economy of the Government; at the same time in line with the policy and orientation of Hau Giang province on four-pillar economic development, in which the agricultural pillar is the pillar of the economy, through which the province has also determined preferential policies for investment is to attract processing and production of agricultural, forestry, aquatic products and raw materials in the area.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh said that the project has a tight production and business plan for input and output, effective revenue and cost calculation, in line with land use planning, projects with large the area is over 230 hectares, most of which is agricultural land, so businesses need to clarify the feasibility in production, supply of equipment and machinery, technology transfer, consulting, partners, financial commitment, production experience agriculture, especially the project’s success in terms of creating jobs, improving people’s living standards, mobilizing people to change farming forms… The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted the departments, branches and localities. coordinate with investors to soon organize the implementation of relevant order and procedures to approve the project, update the project into the provincial planning, prepare a proposal to the Government for conversion of the land use purpose for rice cultivation… it is suggested that investors make an agreement with the people on land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement. The locality will best ensure the interests of investors, people and the state in the process of development implementation according to the project’s rolling investment phase.
