On March 28, Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Hoa signed Decision No. 619/QD-UBND approving the plan to develop industrial clusters in Hau Giang province in the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The goal of Hau Giang province is that in the period of 2021 – 2025, there will be a total of 10 industrial clusters (CCNs) in the province, with a total area of 548.05 hectares. To basically complete the investment in the construction of technical infrastructure, reaching 50% of the planning for newly established industrial parks, and 100% for existing industrial parks. Striving to attract investment to achieve the occupancy rate of over 80% of the CCN area.
The contribution of industrial clusters to the total industrial production value of the whole province, the average growth in the period of 2021 – 2025 is 12.95%/year, by 2025, the scale will reach over VND 4,000 billion; labor structure in the industrial sector accounts for 15.93% of the total number of industrial workers in the province; create jobs for more than 10,000 workers.
In the period from 2026 – 2030, maintain and continue to invest in synchronously, complete investment in technical infrastructure of 10 CCNs in the period of 2021-2025; expanding Vi Binh Industrial Park by 21 hectares, with a total industrial land area in the province of 569.05 hectares. Enhance the attraction of enterprises to invest in industrial parks, striving for the occupancy rate to reach 100% of the industrial land area.
Bring the contribution rate of industrial enterprises to the proportion of the value of high-tech industrial products in the processing and manufacturing industries to at least 45%; the rate of labor in the industrial and service sectors reaches over 70%; create jobs for more than 15,000 workers.

New development-oriented industrial zones include: Hoa Luu 1 Industrial Park (57.98 ha); Hoa Luu 2 Industrial Park (55.60 ha), in Hoa Luu Commune, City. Vi Thanh; Vi Binh Industrial Park 2 (75 ha), in Vi Binh commune, Vi Thuy district; Luong Tam Industrial Park 1 (75 ha), Luong Tam Commune, Long My District; Luong Tam Industrial Park 2 (75 ha), Luong Tam Commune, Long My District.

In which, in the period of 2021 – 2025, it is expected that the demand for investment capital in the CCN is 3,922.86 billion VND; the period 2026 – 2030 is 892.16 billion VND; the period 2031 – 2050 is 4,928.37 billion VND.
According to the People’s Committee of Hau Giang province, by 2020, Hau Giang province has 10 industrial zones, of which 6 are managed by the People’s Committees of districts, towns and cities, with an area of 323.94 hectares, including: industrial clusters – handicrafts. City. Vi Thanh, CCN – Tan Tien wharf warehouse, CCN – Long My town’s handicrafts, CCN – City’s handicrafts. Nga Bay, Tan Thanh Industrial Park, Tan Phuoc Hung Industrial Park and 4 concentrated industrial parks managed by the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Hau Giang province, with an area of 410 ha, including: Dong Phu concentrated industrial park – phase 1, concentrated cluster Phu Huu A – phase 1, concentrated cluster Phu Huu A – phase 3, concentrated cluster Nhon Nghia A.
CCNs have attracted 51 projectsinvestment in production and business with a total registered capital of 16,887 billion VND, attracting 8,800 employees, the average occupancy rate at the CCN is 52.17%; with the main industries of food processing, food processing, garment, leather shoes, construction materials…
