On June 7, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hau Giang Province and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the helping team to develop the development strategy of Hau Giang province in the 2021-2030 period. , with a vision to 2050 (provincial assistance team) to hear the progress report on the implementation of the strategy and set out tasks in the coming time.

In order to create a basis for effective strategy development, the Provincial Working Group developed a plan and proposed the Provincial Party Committee to hold a conference to review the implementation of Resolution No. 21 and Conclusion No. 28 of the Politburo. on directions, tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the Mekong Delta in the 2001-2010 period and in the 2011-2020 period.

The purpose of the conference is to evaluate and analyze the actual situation of the organization, the results achieved, lessons learned; as well as point out the unattained aspects, causes and difficulties; then propose mechanisms, policies, tasks and possible solutions, in line with the development trend of the province and localities in the Mekong Delta so that the Central Government can have a specific mechanism for the Mekong Delta region, including the province. Hau Giang.

In particular, the conference will have 26 presentations by provincial departments, agencies and sectors according to each function, task and actual situation of each locality (strengths, weaknesses, characteristics of each region). In addition, the presentations will closely follow the requirements and contents of the proposal proposed by the Central Economic Commission. The conference is expected to be held by the province in August.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hau Giang province agreed to add tasks to the provincial working group on planning and reporting outline at the conference. summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 21 and Conclusion No. 28 of the Politburo on socio-economic development in the province in the period 2004-2020; at the same time, adding the Provincial Political School to the Provincial Working Group.

Regarding the presentation, Comrade Dong Van Thanh emphasized, the Working Group needs to review and amend the content of the presentations to suit the actual situation and according to the suggestions of the departments, branches and localities in the field. the provincial; Avoid duplicate content between discussions or outside the scope of management. In particular, in the presentation, each sector and locality should highlight its role; at the same time, there are proposals and orientations according to the new development thinking for the province, avoiding the peaceful situation, slow to change in new conditions; in which the breakthrough task must be associated with the resolution of the province. By July 15 at the latest, the reports presented at the closing conference must be sent to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment for synthesis and submission to the Standing Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People’s Committee for complete comments.
